Hamas is trying, and it may succeed, to drag Israel into a state of multi-frontal confrontation, with the Temple Mount, just as in April-May 2021, being the trigger and the bonfire with which to burn everything.
The middle ground this time is another false version of the modern blood libel "Al-Aqsa in Danger", as Hamas and the PA have been pumping to the Palestinian public on social media that on Passover eve the Passover sacrifice will be offered on the mountain.
They are lying and knowingly lying.
They have known the history of the Temple Mount for the past 55 years, and know that Israel has never allowed it.
Moreover - in countless channels, including through the Jordanians, Egyptians and Americans - have been made clear to the Palestinians, including all Muslim extremists, that this year too this will not be possible.
But Hamas and its people have consciously chosen to ignore this and light the mountain, because now a large bonfire is suitable for them there, which will also draw the Arabs of Israel to it again and flow more oil in the wheels of the terrorist fire that has been lit here in recent weeks.

The police were so gentle this time, that they first suggested to the Waqf authorities to try to disperse the rioters themselves.
That was a mistake.
The Waqf is unable, even if it wants to (and does not want to), to confront Hamas or Hezb a-Tahrir on the Temple Mount.
Some of its senior members were, and perhaps still are, affiliated with Hamas (regarding these ties, it is very worthwhile to review the report of the "Jewish Voice", which was published recently).
Preparations for the most disturbing riots and clashes since the Defensive Wall on the Temple Mount began Thursday night, and were visible.
The stone deposits, bottles and fireworks had to be confiscated from the moment they began to pile up, and the rioters pulled out of the mountain before they started the riots, not after.
But when the Minister of Internal Security is Amar Bar-Lev, and when there is a "Muslim Brotherhood" within the government, whose members often identify with the worst of our enemies, it is difficult to conduct themselves properly.
Only after stones were thrown from the height of the mountain towards the Western Wall, long hours late, it was decided to act more forcefully, and it is a pity that they waited so long.
The Jordanians know
Jordan - almost as always, when it comes to the Temple Mount - played a double game this time too.
This time, Israel went out of its way to coordinate its moves in al-Aqsa's affairs vis-à-vis the Hashemite Kingdom.
Bennett, Ganz and Lapid spoke with the king and his men even before the month of Ramadan began.
The Jordanians were asked to ensure that there would be no night fortification inside the mosque.
They managed to do this for several nights, but failed to do so on Thursday night.
The Jordanians know very well who caused the commotion on the mountain.
They know that Israel has done above and beyond to prevent the event, but they "must" blame us when it comes to al-Aqsa to prevent internal unrest within the kingdom, which in its own eyes (and in Israel's eyes) is the custodian of the holy places of Islam in Jerusalem.
Israel did not "invade" al-Aqsa, in the words of the liars from Ra'am, Hamas, the joint and the PA.
It acted as a state governed by the rule of law, minimally sensitive and considerate - sensitive and overly considerate, apparently - against rioters who turned the third holy place into Islam (and the first in its sanctity to Judaism) an ax to dig with;
Against a group of sheikhs, clergy and terrorists in suits, robes and galabiyas, who once again, for the umpteenth time, try to ignite a foreign fire, to fabricate, destroy and murder what is left of the fragile coexistence between Jews and Arabs, the sons of Avraham Avinu, the inhabitants of the land this.
Everything must be done so that their plot does not succeed.
So that last year's sights - disturbances among the Jews of the cities involved - will not be repeated.
One must also tell the Jewish and Israeli truth about the Temple Mount, a place where the major and fundamental changes in the status quo have been made over the years by the Muslim side, and not by the Jewish side;
A place where the serial al-Aqsa lies in danger have turned it into a production line of terrorist attacks and terrorism, while bearing the name of Allah in vain and desecrating the sanctuaries of Islam and Judaism.
